Mealime closes October 21, 2026
Leaving Mealime? Your week still gets planned.
Fresh Week does the part you’ll miss most: a week of meals in a few minutes and a grocery list sorted by aisle. It also builds the plan around your calorie and protein goals, and it can cook from what’s already in your fridge.

What’s happening
Mealime is shutting down on October 21.
Here’s what Mealime has told its users, so you can decide what to do before the date.
The app stops working on October 21, 2026
Pro features are open to everyone until then, and Pro subscribers aren’t being charged again before the shutdown.
Recipes move into Albertsons-family store apps
Mealime, owned by Albertsons Companies since 2021, points users to Meals Hub inside apps like Safeway, Albertsons and Vons.
Your account data is deleted at shutdown
Settings and preferences don’t carry over automatically, and there’s no export for saved recipes or plans.
If you already shop at an Albertsons-family store, Meals Hub may be the simplest move. If you’d rather keep a stand-alone planner on your phone, or you want calories and macros built in, keep reading.

What carries over
The habits you built in Mealime, in Fresh Week.
Same weekly rhythm: plan on Sunday, shop once, cook from your phone.
What’s new to you
Five things Mealime didn’t do.
Fresh Week is a planner first, but it knows your numbers, your fridge and your cravings.
Calories and macros, built in
Daily targets from your goal, numbers on every meal, and a goal date that moves as you log.
My Fridge
Add what you have. Plans lean toward meals that use it, and bought groceries move in with one tap.
AI Meals
Type what you’re craving and get a full recipe with its macros, ready to plan or save.
20+ new recipes every week
A fresh batch for every diet, plus what’s in season this month.
A log and a trend line
Log a planned meal in one tap and see calories, macros, streaks and weight over 7, 30 or 90 days.
Move over
Five minutes, start to first week.
Do the first step before October 21. The rest can wait for a Sunday.
Save your Mealime favorites
Open each recipe you cook on repeat and take a screenshot of the ingredients and steps. Mealime isn’t offering an export, and the app goes away with your account.
Before October 21Download Fresh Week and tap Start planning
Answer a few questions about your goal and how you eat. Your first week of meals is built while you watch, no email needed.
Rebuild the keepers
Go to Recipes → AI Meals and type the dish, or Saved → Build a meal to enter your own ingredients. Save it and it’s there every week, with calories and macros.
Tell it what’s in your fridge
Go to Groceries → My Fridge, tick off common items or scan a barcode, then turn on Use my fridge. Plans start using what you own.
Shop from the Groceries tab
One list for the week, sorted by aisle. Tick items as you go, then tap Put bought items in My Fridge.
Questions
Things Mealime users ask.
Can I import my Mealime recipes or meal plans?
No. Mealime hasn’t offered an export, and Fresh Week doesn’t have a Mealime importer. The quickest way to keep a favorite is to screenshot it before October 21, then rebuild it in Fresh Week: open Recipes → AI Meals and type the dish, or Saved → Build a meal to enter the ingredients yourself. Either way it’s saved with its calories and macros.
Is Fresh Week free?
It’s free for 7 days, then $39.99 a year ($3.33 a month) or $7.99 a month. There’s no free tier. Fresh Week is made by one person with no ads and no tracking SDKs, and the subscription is what pays for the recipe photos, the AI and the 20+ new recipes every week. Cancel anytime from your iPhone’s Settings.
Is it on Android or the web?
Not yet. Fresh Week is an iPhone and iPad app. If you’re on Android, email us so we know you’re waiting.
Does it count calories and macros?
Yes. Onboarding works out your daily calories, protein, carbs and fat from your goal, and every planned meal shows its numbers. Log a meal with one tap and the day updates. Nutrition is calculated ingredient by ingredient from USDA data.
I cook for a family. Does it handle serving sizes?
Plans are built around one person’s targets. When you cook, the portions stepper in cooking mode scales every ingredient amount, so a recipe for one becomes dinner for four. The grocery list follows the plan.
What diets and allergies does it support?
Omnivore, pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan plans, with allergies and restrictions excluded everywhere in the app. You can also set cuisines and flavors you like, a budget, and GLP-1 mode for smaller, protein-forward meals.
Who makes Fresh Week?
